Who looks after your information
Louis Walton, trading as Chapter & Scene is the data controller for this website. Address: Commerce House, Carlton Boulevard, Lincoln LN2 4WJ, United Kingdom. Email: etsyprintslwe@gmail.com.
What we collect and why
When you order, we collect your name, email address, delivery address, phone number and what you bought. We use it to take payment, make and deliver your prints, send you order and delivery emails, and deal with returns or questions. The legal basis is that we need it to carry out our contract with you. We keep order records for six years because tax law requires it.
Our newsletter
If you join our newsletter, we keep your email address so we can send you news about new prints and the occasional offer. We only add you after you click the link in our confirmation email, and the legal basis is your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every newsletter, or by emailing us, and we then stop emailing you. Buying a print does not sign you up. We never sell your information.
Who we share it with
- Stripe takes your payment and holds your order record.
- PrintShrimp, our UK print partner, receives your name, delivery address, email and phone so it can print and post your order.
- Resend sends our order, delivery and newsletter emails and holds the newsletter list.
- Vercel hosts this website.
Some of these companies store data in the United States. Where that happens, they protect it with the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK-US data bridge.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Your basket and saved prints are kept in your own browser's storage so they are still there when you come back; they never leave your device. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits. It uses no cookies and does not identify you. When you check out, Stripe's payment page uses its own essential cookies to keep the payment secure.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted (where we don't need to keep it by law), object to how we use it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email etsyprintslwe@gmail.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
