The unframed print
The kitchen is on fire. She has her wine. Main character energy.
Featured in: Funny Secret Santa gifts under £20
Anyone who has played a life-sim game knows this moment: you leave the hob on for one second and the whole kitchen goes up. Most characters run around screaming. Not her. She stands in the middle of it in her navy satin pyjamas, hand on hip, with a big glass of red and a serene smile, because it is her story and the fire is just set dressing. This print is for her.
I made it look like a screenshot from a life-sim video game: a bright cutaway kitchen seen from above, mint cupboards, lemon walls, a checkerboard floor, cheerful cartoon flames and a little green diamond floating over her head. The words sit in a pop-up message box, big and bold, right across the top.
The idea is the life-sim game joke of the kitchen that always catches fire, and the "main character energy" trend. The look borrows from those games' bright, doll's-house view of a home. The woman and her kitchen are my own design, not taken from any game.
I create each design with AI image tools, then art-direct and refine it until it feels right, and set the lettering myself. It's a print of a digital artwork, not an original. Each one carries my printed "Chapter & Scene" signature in the bottom corner.
"Main character energy" is what people call acting as if you are the star of your own story, calm, confident and unbothered by the chaos going on around you. My print puts that feeling in the kitchen every life-sim player knows, the one that catches fire the moment you look away.

A gift for the friend who stays calm, pours a glass, and lets it burn.
